Round and Round....

...the garden!

Way back in the spring, along with the bulb and seed planting an idea began to germinate...
it appeared in stages, that evaded the camera!
...firstly tiny spirals...followed by miniature flowers....

They were intended as mini garden brooches, but some are too fine for a chunky metal back.
They have been quietly blooming waiting for inspiration...
an additional felt backing?....might fade the light through the stitches...
mounting? as a  reminder of summer gardens...searching for a suitable frame...
Still pondering...

The smallest is 5cm across, and the largest 7cm, not far to walk down the garden path!
Total tiny garden weigh in, a delicate 10g!

Meanwhile, I invested in an even smaller hook...
more flowers are blooming for bright gardens throughout the winter!
Some watery themes are in the pipeline,
parts made,
ready for assembling!
Some projects take time to grow!

how about a hat trim? Do people still trim hats? Or have I turned into my late mother in law?

I would add a felt backing and a brooch pin and use them as brooches, because yes, although the light won't go through the stitches as soon as they are up against clothes it won't go through in any case. They are very pretty, and would be lovely as brooches! xx

You've done it to me again Ali ... my spidery senses are definitely not working today. Love these little beauties. They are so exuberant (had to go and look that up) and make me feel joyful.
