I am going to be the first person to proudly leave a comment on your blog! Those little owls are so cute. I LOVE the flower on the top of your blog. What is it needle felted to? I did something similar with sari silk waste on a flower brooch but the colours of your wool are stunning. x

OOh how exciting...thank you Becky for my first comment... and such a lovely one too!!
The flower was quite an early creation and was Rowan Biggy Print yarn felted onto a bucket type felt bag bought from a craft shop. The yarn is multi coloured and has varying widths along its length which gives different results everytime. I have had it for a while and am always on the lookout for something similar. I've not tried sari silk waste yet.
A lot of my makes have been 'flat'...often yarn onto commercial felt but I am branching out much more now having become more familiar with all my fluff...and being inspired by other blogs! Keep up your good work!

Love that yarn. Would love to see a pic of the bucket bag! I did needle felt sari silk waste onto felt once (no sewing involved) but broke about 3 needles by the time I finished, needed a higher gauge for tougher fibres I think. I am only just breaking into felting in 3d (not including my felt beads) and it's not as scary as I thought it would be. I'm up for a teacosy next! What's your next project?

Couldn't think how to show you the bag other than in a post....it wasn't the bucket bag after all when I looked at the photo... but the other one! This is the only photo of the bags...hadn't had my digital camera long then!
I've made some bowls this week but may try something 2d and crocus related soon from last years sketches and photos as this years crocus flowers are up if not out in the garden! How's your tea cosy? Ali
