Part of my colourful stash has been hooked into 8inch squares
parcelled and sent to Dianne for LILY, Love In the Language of Yarn,
where they will be combined with others to form blankets for Syrian refugees.
You can read about more about it on Dianne's blog.
Quite a few of my blogging friends are joining in too.
One of the squares included an experiment for a project I will be making with this colourful wool from my stash -

Brilliant Ali, I'm so glad you are making some too, lovely colourful squares and that wool is lovely so pretty can't wait to see what you are going to do with it :)
I too have my mind on some LILY squares for part of my stash busting ... your squares look so pretty! Looking forward to seeing your next project. Wendy
Such pretty and colourful granny squares!
I too have crocheted squares for the LILY project, it really is a good cause.
Can't wait to see what you are going to do with the colourful wool :)
I just posted about mine -- finished up 9 yesterday. Since I will be sending them by courier, I want to make it worth the money so will send a bunch at one time. I don't trust our mail system. Your squares are so bright and beautiful! They will certainly make some child very happy! Best wishes, Tammy
Lovely neat granny squares Ali. I send my grannies to mencap, it's always nice to know that someone somewhere will get some comfort.
T xx
what a worthwhile project, ali
They look so much fun with the mixed-colour yarn :-)
Very uplifting colours! Lucky is the person who gets them incorporated into their blanket. :)
Hmm I need to look this LILY project. I would be laughing to myself the whole time if I got to use my Lily's Sugar 'n Cream yarn for a LILY cause... ;)
great squares and for a great cause. X
