For my birthday, in the spring, I had some Dahlias to plant. It was a mixed bag and if the leaf shapes and sizes are anything to go by there will be many different blooms!

I'm hoping one day I'll be needlefelting onto my own wet felted items........

Lucky friend :) I love dahlias, they always cheer me up when I see them in the garden.
That dahlia is stunning, I love the way the colour seems to bleed in from the edges of the petals. Lovely bit of needle felting. I just love the colours in that wool. You must give 3d felting a go. It's not hard, just very time consuming!

I always admire your needle felted wool creations, Ali - I always needle felt using wool tops and never have any success when using yarn. I love the zingy colour combinations of that flower against the plain background of the bag! Liz x
The edges of the petals on that dahlia are just beautiful and I love what you've done on your friend's birthday bag - I'm sure she'll love it!
